Hello friend,
Are you having a wild start to 2023? We’ve both been experiencing this amazing and exciting expansiveness, with moments of fear and grief coming in hard in between. It’s a lot!
We want to celebrate your expansion and your growth, and also remind you that moments of fear do not mean that you have ‘unhealed’. It is not a sign of going backward. You are reaching deeper layers of healing and experiencing life as a human being. There will always be more that comes to the surface that challenges us, and that’s okay. You are strong and resilient and healing, and challenging times do not undo that.
Also, look how differently you are approaching these challenging moments! Think back to a year ago, two years ago, etc, and imagine how you would’ve handled these situations. Notice and honor how much you’ve grown.
In this episode, we’re talking about riding those waves of emotion that come with being a human. This episode is such a good one if you find yourself numbing or seeking comfort in things that in the long run don’t feel great like food, tv marathons, checking out and going to bed, etc. We’re talking about:
The way we express (or not) our emotions in friendships and relationships
Why we might be using the coping mechanisms we can’t seem to stop turning to
How to create change in your coping habits in a different way than you might be used to trying
